I had my husband take the western blot since he had soo many ticks bites in his life.
His IGM was negative only band 41+
His IGG was positive 18+ 23-25 + 28+ 30+ 31IND 39++ 41+++ 58++ 83-93++
He has no lyme symptoms and the doc said these positives will always show since they are from the past. THey never go back to negative? Is this true? If not, why would have hve no symptoms since he had lyme over 15 years ago and caught it right away
Each tick bite he gets now he is put on doxy right away and he still has no issues? Not sure whether he needs to be treated further or that would just be stirring the pot??

If he has no symptoms, there is no reason to treat.
Dr. F once had a research assistant who was CDC positive on IgM and IgG western blot. That assistant was healthy as a horse.
Antibodies (which is what a WB measures) means exposure. It does not necessarily mean active infection.
Glad your husband feels well. Leave it at that.
Best, Timaca

God bless you Timaca...I didnt know what to think when I read it. He suffers from so many ailments after working on the 911 site. I was so afraid lyme would be added to it.
I will keep a sharp eye on him for any lyme symptoms and I just pray that he lives a long time even with heart and lung issues. He is one happy person that Bin Laden is gone!! So many of his friends from the site are sick and dying from exposure.
