I have been treating Babesia for almost 2 months. At around 3 weeks I got bad air hunger, swelling in my ears, sinuses and throat. I have had this for a month now. My air hunger is all the time and so is the inflammation. It's difficult to swallow and I have a lot of thick saliva that makes it even harder.
Im just trying to figure out of this is a Babesia herx or another infection coming out. I do not think its an allergy to any med though.
Has anyone else had these symptoms while treating Babs?

I also have a feeling like Im gagging on my tongue if I stick it out. I didn't have this treating Lyme only since I started treating Babs and Babs is all Im treating.
I saw on some older posts that people can be 'allergic' to the die-off, rather than having an actual herx. Im wondering if this is also going on.
Any thoughts?

Yeast could be playing a part but these lung/ allergy symptoms came roaring out when I started treating for Babesia. I guess Im just looking to see if anyone else had these issues or if Im just CRAZY! Most of the time I feel CRAZY!

Spoke to Peter Krause at Yale, who wrote the chapter for babesia for the IDSA. He said that babesia can cause swelling of the lungs.

I've had a lot of weirdness in my ears lately, and I've been dizzy/vertigo for 2 weeks.
Treating babs for 3 months. I don't know what's going on.

Starfall I was thinking babs herx since you're going after them. Vertigo and dizzy reminds me of others with babs.
I've never had air hunger even 11-12 yrs ago when I was having vertigo and some other babs sx.
It's so confusing. The puzzle pieces lately seem like them are multiplying instead of dwiddling.
I'm ready to knock some bacteria on his arse. I just not sure which one to knock out first????????????????????

Negative for Chlamydia.
Boxermom-I also get really bad pressure in ears, sinuses and Im thinking this is all Babesia. I had it all before, then it went away and now back with a vengeance since beginning Mepron and Art.
My throat is all swollen too, even when off meds so Im thinking its affecting my digestive tract and upper airway. They must be hiding in there.
Pam-I would definatly hit Babesia. My LLMD treats this first, b/c its harder to treat the others without getting rid of Babs.
