Don't let the size and scope of this daunt you. The actual report on the presentations from the workshop itself is only 150-160 pages. The rest consists of the commissioned papers and patient comments.
You can search for specific topics, people etc.; and you can print selected parts of it for easier reading if you like. It is very user-friendly.
For myself, I am going through and pulling out discussion on early/immediate treatment based on clinical presentation because many people I know are still being denied treatment in the acute stages. There is some really good material in this report to support this issue! I will encourage people to refer to it when they encounter this problem.
The same can be done for chronic lyme. There is really good material in the report to support persistent illness. It is the cause(s) that remain unclear. But persistent infection is certainly discussed as a possible cause and cannot be ruled out by the science known to us at this point! Additionally, there were several mentions of the severity of illness when co-infected. I think many minds will be more open to pursuing evidence of this based on the information shared at this workshop.
