I thought I'd let people know how it went, in case they are considering it.
My dentist started with ART, 1. to confirm that I had the cavitation and 2. to determine the locations.
He determined that I had them on both sides of my lower jaw, but not any on my upper jaw. Then he added reversterol (that's what he said, thought I don't know what that has to do with ozone) to the ART testing and the assistant's arm was firm. So he said "I think the ozone will work nicely for you."
He used a topical numbing solution on my gums, then gave me novocaine injections. Ow. Ow. OW!! Seriously, the pain was so deep, like he was jamming the needle waaay deep in my gums.
Then he massaged the area to spread out the drug. He let me rest for five minutes so that I was nice and numb.
Then he began the actual ozone injections. He used a drill to put a teensy tube (for lack of a better word) into my jawbone, through the outer gum. Then he used a syringe to push the ozone in. I didn't feel the drill at all, so the earlier pain was all for good cause. Halfway through the injection, I felt pressure, as if maybe the area was full (??) and then I felt it travel to the front of my jaw where my front teeth are. He said at that moment (reading my mind?) that I might feel it travel, as the ozone will travel where it needs to. I felt no pressure when he did the other side, and then we were done.
He gave me a homeopathic product called Lymphonest. It is supposed to help drain all the junk out.
I go back in 3 weeks for a follow-up. He will use ART to see if the cavitations are gone. The office manager had told me that some people need repeat injections, and the average was a series of two.
The procedure cost $225, and with the addition of the product, my total was $248.
Time will tell if this helps.
If you are curious where I had it done, you can PM me, but I can say they are in a large mid-Atlantic city.

Can you tell us a little more about this? Did you have dental problems? What made you decide to do this?

I am on the site now. Any information would be appreciated. They are talking drilling out the infection - major dollars - major surgery - said the circulation in my head is already affected by this infection? I would appreciate any help. Only one dentist in our entire state does this procedure.

In answer to an above question I can say that an area where I had a root canal years ago..and then the tooth pulled years ago was still bothering me. I went through a 6 week daily IV holistic treatment to get rid of the lyme. I was still sick. They "thought" it might be from root canal infection and sent me for a thermography. It showed I was infected in two area's in my mouth and it was most likely making my whole body sick. My head has felt weird for several years. They told me unless I get this cavitation done, I will never be okay. Just replying to some of the above inquiries with my own personal story...if that helps anyone.

Casper - where did you get the thermography done? And how much (if you don't mind my asking)? Do you know if it is definitive in diagnosing cavitations?
Good luck making your decisions on this big issue. I'm wrestling with it all myself.
I'm having A LOT of discomfort where I had a wisdom tooth pulled 2 months ago. I think something is brewing. I'm going for an ozone injection Monday morning. I hope he's good at it! I'm not sure if the area needs to be cleaned out (surgery) or if injections are enough. I guess there is no downside to trying it this way first.

I had the thermography done right here in Prescott AZ. It cost $195 - a bargain considering the amount of time that was taken and the explanations given. Probably the only bargain yet in this lyme journey. I then took the results back to my new naturepath in Prescott and he told me it looked pretty bad. I had seen a naturepath in Sedona that told me all root canals HAVE to come out and to be very careful about extracting wisdom teeth also. I hope the ozone works for you! Only one dentist in the entire state here has the cavitation machine and it's VERY expensive. I would like to try the ozone too but they do see my circulation in the head is severely compromised.
