I have low iron, but its just a little low. Im wondering if I take an iron supplement if this will improve my symptoms of fatigue. But I do not want to feed the Lyme or Babesia or whatever could be causing me to have low iron. Would I be doing this if I took iron?

I believe if you are low on iron, you need to supplement. I also have low iron and take it daily.

If you choose to supplement, I had good luck with Blood Builder by Mega Foods. It's a whole food supplement. Never had any issues that prescriptions can cause.
I only had to be on a short while. Felt much better.

Yes! The ranges on those tests are very broad. So if youre a little low on teh test, most Drs would agree that youre very low.
Check out your Ferratin level too, that should be at least 50.
Take a slow relase iron like Slow FE and take it with vitamin C to help with absorption.

Ditto to WhineyS above about getting your ferritin level checked.
My personal and unsolicited opinion about Mg, iron, and other supplements: while you might be feeding Babs, Bb, etc., most importantly YOU ARE FEEDING YOUR OWN NUTRITIONAL NEEDS. That should always be frontrunner knowledge, as Babs and company will keep on taking from your own cells regardless of how much of said nutrient is available to take.

Make sure that you follow up with serum tests (CBC and ferritin) on a monthly basis to make sure that the amount of iron that you are taking is making a difference.
I took 65 mg of elemental iron daily, and it did nothing. I increased to 200 mg of elemental iron daily and still my iron indices did not improve. (My menses were very heavy) I ended up with a uterine ablation, and finally, with supplementation, my iron indices improved.
I now monitor that once a year.
Best, Timaca
