Would like some advice and opinions, please.

My 17 yo daughter has been in tx for 15 months. Not a whole heck of alot better, but she is getting out of bed most days and can do some home schooling with tutors. I had expected much more improvement, and didn't fully realize that it would be this slow a route.

We're going the Napaalm, oh, I mean Dr B or ILADS route and she has been taking multiple abx for 15 months.

Starting in December of last year, her GI issues flared with a drug change to Alinia. She had a huge herx and hasn't been on abx since March.

I went to an ART practioner to see if they could help determine what supps/meds/systems were needed. She was leaning towards working on Parasites first, getting her terrain 'healthy and ready for treatment' and then going after the bugs again.

My daughter has Candida and has been on the dreaded diet and taking Diflucan for over a month. She is also showing that she has a high IGA, IGM and IGG to Sacchromyces Cervasi, or Bakers Yeast.

At our LLND appointment last month she said we absolutely have to get rid of the yeast before we can treat the Lyme any furhter.

We have the LLND appointment today... Not sure which way to go.

More abx, or take a break for a few more months and address other issues including gut repair...

Ideas? Thoughts?

Hi Mom.

I hear your frustration. Dr. K. treats ALL of his patients for parasites/worms first before he goes after the other infections.

Chronic candida is on the symptom list for parasites. Taking antiparasitic herbs was the only thing besides salt/c that turned the corner for me after 4 yrs of abx. Also coconut oil and alternating kefir.

The herbs (I use Parastroy) also are antifungal and antibacterial. The key is to stay on them for at least 6 mos and beyond.

I have been on antiparasitic herbs (Humaworm, Hanna Kroeger, Hulda Clark, Monastert of Herbs) for several yrs on and off and am close to remission. Continuous salt/c as well.

You might want to do google parasite symptoms and also do a search on here for more insight.

Kellye - You didn't mention if your daughter is taking any probiotics. This is very important, as the abx kill off both good and bad bacteria.

I would highly recommend Theralac. My son has been using this probiotic for years. Btw, it needs to be taken two hours before or after any abx or anti-bacterial supplements or else its effects will be negated.
