So I was in absolute torture these last 3 weeks.
The pain all over my body was horrendous.
I was crying all day from it.
Then I realized that I had quit my amytriptaline (sp?) exactly 3 weeks ago.
So, I went back on it and the pain level went right down.
So for those with kids in a lot of pain. Here is what worked best for me.
THis is something that I have heard over and over again, so it must work for a lot of people.
Amytriptaline!!! (Elavil)
I only start to feel the pain relieving effect at about a dose a 75mg, but I have been up as high as 150mg, I think,
Neurontin 3600 mg.
to sleep 5 - 15 mg of zopiclone
then after that , you shouldn't need to take narcotic pain relievers at all,
If anyone tries this and gets real pain relief, I would love to know, PM me if you can.
Also, I find that being on those meds allows me to get out of bed and have a life. too.
Go up really slowly on these meds, but actually, one doctor had me up on these high doses within a month, and what a difference.
I am still doing my Lyme treatment, and for those that are discouraged, It has taken me a year and a half --18months--- and now I am finally feeling better.
If I didn't have the pain meds, then I wouldn't feel much better at all.
I have been treated for Bartonella, Babesia, and Lyme disease. I didn't get any I.V.'s at all.
Babesia requires at least 12 months of treatment.
I am on high doses of Antibiotics for the Lyme disease, but I had this since I was a kid, and then got re-bit 4 years ago!
My main advice would be to stick with it! Don't give up! It is a really tough treatment to go through, but worth it. You will have lots of bad days, side effects from the meds, and feel so depressed.
I didn't try any fancy machines, or natural remedies, I just stuck to the protocol that my TOP LLMD , who has done this for over 20 years and has great succes, ,,,
I did EXACTLY what he told me to do.
Do anything you can to get treatment! Beg, go down to churches to ask for help, write in to charities to ask for help, do whatever you can to get help.
Also, remember, if you have a sexual partner, then they probably have it too.
My husband went beserk on me, was acting weird and had many, many rages! He was acting very similar to Charlie Sheen! My husband had changed radically! So, I begged my LLMD to treat him, and in seeing a huge change in my husband, they are now agreeing that these behavior issues are definetly Lyme plus Bartonella.
I want to save marriages! and relationships and families.
If a relative, a child , a husband, a wife, a partner, a friend, anyone you know has mental issues ,
and it could be subtle, or obvious,
please! explore the possiblity that it is Lyme or Bartonella!
That person would need Amytriptaline, NEurontin right away to help, while the Lyme treatment slowly works!
I have written a lot about my husband here , so if you want to know more about that story, I think you could search it.
PM me anytime you need. I always check back here.

I'm glad you are out of pain. I'm seriously considering having my husband tested. He is more tired than usual and takes xanax for anxiety. He's the only one in the house not being treated.
Fortunately, he already does a sugar free and gluten free diet in addition to high doses of Vitamin D, fish oil and multis.
Yes, I agree totally on the LLMD. It certainly is expensive but worth it.

Elavil made my pain worse. It does not work for everyone.
What works for my joint pain and "sciatica" is Nettles. I take 600mg/day of organic nettles and have no pain. If I start feeling pain, I increase the nettles. But I've been using nettles for months and have not needed to increase the dose except once during a mini-herx from short-term abx for another infection.
