Anyone else have constant weak, sort of achy thighs?
Walking upstairs feels like climbing a mountain.
What do you think it's from? Babs or lyme?

Does it feel like a rush of lactic acid? That is how I would describe my muscle weakness - like I climbed a mountain the day prior - but of course I didnt.
For me it seems to be more of a detox issue and I get flare ups when I kill a host of things - be it lyme or yeast or any heavy metal. I up my detox binders and get in the infra. sauna and that seems to help alot.

What detox binders do you use?
Not really sure what it feels like. They just feel very weak, but I will try upping the detox.

Have you had a chiropractic workup? Could this be sciatica? This is not a diagnosis and only a question, to be checked out by a chiropractor. The sciatic nerve runs down from the lower back into the legs. If the nerve is pinched, then the legs can be weakened and achey too. Some people even have their legs "give out" at moments in time. I know someone who this happened to. It can be corrected by chiropractic care and exercises if it turns out to be a pinched sciatic nerve.
Regarding lactic acid buildup as mentioned above: Again I can't diagnose and don't know whether or not that is happening here. If yes, then what my chiropractor told me is to put about 1/2-1 cup of baking soda in the bath. Soak in it for at least half an hour. SHe said that the baking soda removes lactic acid which stiffens the muscles and causes pain. It's almost the way the body splints itself, in a way, but anyway for me the pain was greatly helped by this little method. A friend of mine with a whiplash injury also said that it helped her a lot.
I get big bags of baking soda at Costco for about $5 for 13.5 lbs and keep it around at all times. I use it for any back injuries (now rare thank god), cleaning the house, et al.

Definitely not sciatica-I am positive of this.
This symptom has come and gone for years-really bad now that I've relapsed. Trying to figure out if its lyme or babs.

I am taking Chlorella and Modifilan (brown seaweek extract)as binders. I also add Chloestrymine as tolerated.
I do agree about babs as well. Had that in the past and it did feel a bit like what you describe. Biaxin/ART had helped with it but it did come back off and on.

That is Babesia for me. And it does build up lactic acid in the muscles. It's like being weak and achy at the same time, just like you said.
