i started the humaworm today. i have read, however, that some people are having some pretty interesting reactions.
one person got red dots all over, itching, etc., all the symptoms of a lyme herx also.
so i'm thinking, i know, i know, but i'm curious.
can a person be so ill with candida and parasites that maybe it's not lyme but all these other things?
in my case i DID have the bulls eye, so it's lyme, but can getting rid of candida and parasites really help symptoms? and then maybe you can treat the lyme?
i'm not making any sense, well, normal for me, but do you understand what i'm trying to ask?

Yes. You can get ill from treating parasites & candida. You can have a severe "herx" reaction. Go slow. It happened to me. I got very ill on several ocassions from killing parasites.
I'm still going through it over a year later. It takes time. Parasites don't go away overnight if you have them. Just my experience.

Yup, Sparkle is right. The die off of parasites can make you feel quite ill. I felt soooo much better after parasite treatment though.

Randi,
the parasites are a big part of the picture and you might be well after it. I think the red dots are from parasites and not lyme - I get them when I rife the frequencies.
Especially people with bowel involvment might have just parasites and lyme will get better after parasite treatment.
Start on low dose otherwise you can be sick for weeks from a parasite herx. I think you are on the right track now.

I am not a doctor so have to qualify that. This is not a diagnosis, but something to ask your doctor:
Could the red, itchy dots be adrenal symptoms? That is what I would think of, right away.
The man who healed me of environmental illness approx. 25 years ago said several interesting things:
a) The body will not tolerate the *long term* presence of Any Infection unless the immune system is depleted, to begin with (even while the infection, in turn, also runs immunity further downhill, Chicken/egg relationship)
B) Balancing adrenal and thyroid hormones are key to aiding the revival of immune health (and all hormones need to be balanced, but these were the first two he would look for)
He was really so gifted at healing tired and weakened bodies.
Whether it's Candida/EI you are dealing with or parasites, or lyme, the principles are still all the same.
Just thought I would pass this on.
Adrenal support herbs vary widely. I like one of the GAIA Herbs products but am forgetting the name, sorry....it has rhodiola plus tulsi/holy basil which is a very nicely balanced combination. One for energy/strength and the other for calming over-amped adrenals. Nice balance.
If there are lyme-related nerve zaps, electrical generator sensations et al, I would myself be inclined to skip the rhodiola and just do the holy basil/tulsi herb.
A product called AdrenaCalm by Apex Energetics was marvellously helpful to me when my lyme symptoms were causing agitation. That's gone now thank god.....it's a cream you put on the vascular areas of the skin (behind knees on veins, elbows on veins et al) so this is for calming once again.
Adaptogens like reishi mushroom, rhodiola, Siberian ginseng would be more energizing to a tired body but buzzing to a wired body. A healthy balance is key.
Hope this helps!
Best wishes, CI ps I would think that to clear any infection is to aid the recovery of your immune system. Therefore the lyme symptoms would have to improve at least somewhat, or hopefully, a whole lot. I am sure responses would be very individual....

Daniel, it makes sense if you are dealing with lyme and co, plus Candida, plus parasites...all at once...OUCH! No wonder you are herxing badly.
I am not a doctor and can only offer my own private opinion. That said, I do think there is such a thing as overloading our body with too many die off toxins all at once, and so risking tissue damage.
I think it's really important to treat one or at most two infections at a time, depending on what they are (ask your doctor for a treatment plan).
Caution, not to overdo too many things at once. It's the story of the tortoise and the hare. The tortoise wins the race.
Just my own layperson's two cents worth....

Thanks Kerry

Sometimes it takes a week or 2. That happened with me. I was taking an herbal combo of green, black walnut hulls, cloves, & artemesia. I think it has to build up in your system a bit.
Herbs usually work a little slower than drugs. You may not have parasites but it will be good to rule it out if you don't.
