Hi,
Daughter has been switched over to Core, instead of doing each supplement individually.

She was taking 40mg total of zinc and about 75mg total of B6, etc.

Dr. suggested 1 capsule four times a day, I am thinking that we would need to work up to four capsules?

Looking for experiences, doses, input etc.

Many thanks,

4 capsules of the Core is about 40 mg of elemental zinc. So it sounds like she was pretty close to that before.

Hi Scott,
Thanks for replying. She was taking 30mg of Zinc Picolinate and 10mg of Zinc in her vitamin Supplement. Once a day.

I saw the 40mg for each core capsule and was worried.Edited( just read that 40mg of Zinc is for a total of four capsules, not one)

How does one tell if the dose on a bottle of Zinc is the elemental amount?

In the US, all zinc dosages should be in elemental amount - though they may also indicate the amount of the zinc salts that were used to get the listed elemental amount. If it says Zinc Picolinate 50mg, that is 50mg elemental zinc from some Zinc Picolinate (sometimes listed, sometimes not).
