I took activated charcoal once this week after a bad herx from Bitricide.

It brought on constipation (a known side effect) and was NOT what I intended (get these toxins out of me!)

I also read that charcoal absorbs not only toxins, but also minerals, etc. I imagine it would also absorb any supplements/medications you took near it. It is highly studied because it is used in emergency rooms for toxicity (for example, Tylenol overdose).

What about other binders?

I don't want anything to absorb the supplements I really need, and I really, really don't need constipation, which is historically a big problem for me.

I think all binders absorbs everything (toxins, supplements, meds). you just have to make sure to take them on an empty stomach or a good 45 min after a meal but away from probiotics, meds, supplements.

I actually just started activated charcoal this week (only did it Tuesday). and it has the opposite effect for me, but who knows! Are you drinking lots of water with it?

Mine is called "Intestinal Drawing Formula"
