Hi, I know when testing for lyme you should optimally be off abx; does that apply to coinfections as well? I will be having blood drawn for babs and bart and want to be sure I have the info straight and am prepared before paying big bucks and not getting accurate results.

I would think it would apply to coinfection testing as well...

Had to weigh in on this one...

And know that I'm not throughly knowledgeable, but...

I would think that it would depend upon what abx you are on. And what coinfections are being tested for.

If you are only being tested for Bart and Babs, then the question might be a mute question... you may not be on an antibiotic that would be treating these infections.

Just a thought.
