I'm so glad I stumbled upon this site. It's so active and there's so much information here.
Since being diagnosed with Lyme and Babesia in January of this year, I am being treated with Flagyl,Artemesinin and Diflucan and various supplements and herbals. For 3 months I took Zithromax with Malarone. I seem to tolerate these all fairly well. I should mention that my biggest complaints are in my brain--depression, dizziness and cognitive dulling. The two things that set me back for days are eating raw garlic cloves, which I tried in order to keep the yeast down, and FAR saunas. Both cause days of brain fog and lassitude. I keep re-trying them after a period of time, but always with the same result. Can anyone think what the link between these two might be? It could be something like hypoglycemia or the moving of mercury(I'm having my dental work replaced, so that I can detox) to my poor brain. Any ideas anyone--or has anyone had a similar response? Thanks in advance for any insights!

Well I couldnt say for sure, but I know that i have the same thing with the garlic most of the time. Eat a raw clove and all my symptoms ramp up big time, especially the head stuff.

I did read somewhere that garlic could be good for busting lyme cysts, maybe its releasing more spiro's and causing our symptoms to jump up a notch. Just a thought either way I m very confident that garlic is good for us, though I couldnt comment on the sauna.
