Some background info: I had 16 fillings, had 6 removed last year. So, 10 left.
This past january my breathing issues started. Had ENT put camera there and saw vocal fold dysfunction. Mine are not opening properly when I inhale. Also, some nerve dysfunction (sounds lyme related to me)
The only way I feel good to take a deep breath is if i do it fast and quick through my mouth.
So, reading post about mercury today say that you will never cure lyme unless you get rid of the fillings/mercury.
So, how can I get them removed if I need to inhale through my mouth?? The dentist always said to try not to breathe through your mouth during removal.
I don't know if I'd be able to sit there for an hour with my mouth open only breathing through my nose.
Also, what if this is actually a mercury issue causing the vocal fold abnormality? It started a few months after the fillings started getting removed. Will I do more damage to continue?
I just started IM Bicillin and don't want to take these shots if I will never be helped because of the fillings! So do people stop all lyme treatment while they do chelation??
I AM AT A LOSS!!!! I JUST WANT TO HIDE UNDER MY COVERS FOREVER. WHAT HAPPENED TO MY LIFE

I'm no so sure I believe the mercury/fillings - Lyme connection myself.
Maybe get your mercury levels tested? Regular labs can test it for you.
If high, maybe it's an issue. If normal... personally, I wouldn't worry about it. I am sure there are plenty of people who have had Lyme + fillings and were cured.
Is the vocal chord dysfunction related to nerve dysfunction? If so, maybe a neurologist could help? I'm not big on them for Lyme stuff, but perhaps they could help with nerve issues if related to the vocal chord problem (guessing probably not, but it may be worth a shot).
Any supplements help at all? Magnesium, B12 or anything related to nerve function?

I agree with Lemon-Lyme. Get tested and then figure out what to do.
Dental work causes bacteria to flood the bloodsteam even in normal patients. My fellow Lymies and I have nearly needed emergency room services to get over our last dental appointments because we are already just SO SO sick from the Lyme and "friends" that to have even MORE bacteria be released is frankly, dangerous. We're talking septic-like reactions. Are you on specific prophylactic antibiotics incase the bacteria released by the dental procedures cause infection where you are most vulnerable? The antibiotics for Lyme usually won't cut it. So that's another thing you have to weigh.
