So...feeling pretty good most days...but I still get these intermittent issues with my ears.

I have mild, low tinnitus constantly in both ears. I is very mild so I can usually ignore it. I never had tinnitus before lyme..so I believe it is a result of the lyme & co.

Every so often I get these "zaps" of very loud tinnitus in one ear or the other. All will be normal, and then WHAM...I get a very strong / loud ring for 10-15 seconds before things return back to normal. Sometimes it screws my balance up for a split second. Once things return to normal...my ear feels stuffy / full for a few hours.

Anyone know what this is? Is it lyme, bart, Babs, other? I don't think it is a result of abx as it was happening for months before I started treatment.

I do know it is worse while I am treating..maybe it is like a nerve spasm..like a muscle twich except in my ear with my hearing nerves.

Really frustrating. I finally feel like I'm closing the gap on my remaining symptoms..and this is one that is just persisting.

maybe you should go see an ENT and see if there is inner ear stuff going on. Otherwise it id the inflammation from the nerves causing it. i got it too, i have babs, lyme and ehrlichia.

Make sure that the medicines you are taking are not ototoxic.
