I've been sick since December, have seen 3 doctors, and still don't have a diagnosis. I'm scheduled to see a good LLMD but can't get in till mid-July and am getting worse daily.

Symptoms--constant dry cough, very weak as though my legs are made of jello, sweating profusely mostly in daytime and when I'm not sweating I'm cold, inflammation everywhere, aching all over as though from a bad case of flu, total exhaustion all the time.

My primary first said this is from allergies, then a month later when I was no better she said it was Seasonal Affective Disorder, and a month after that she said I need to see a mental health professional. So much for that.

On 3/30/11 an LLMD said babesia, though the test he ordered from LabCorp was negative. He recommended artemisinin. I was on it for a month and felt worse throughout that time. I haven't seen him again as he left the practice suddenly and the wait to see anyone is a couple of months.

I don't know where to turn for help. I'm relieved that I have a July appointment with a good LLMD but I hate to think of staying like this and doing nothing about it at all for another 2 months.

Any thoughts would be so much appreciated.

Peggy

I would start with Dr. B's treatment guidelines, and read up on Lyme and the coinfections and their treatments. Know the meds and doses, or at least where to find the info quick.

I would make a spreadsheet to track symptoms. And later medication and supplement use. Patterns/cycles can help both the patient and the doctor.

I would clean up the diet NOW - well ahead of antibiotic treatment. No sugar/low carb.

I would want to have a good doctor, one that has a solid reputation and one that I felt I could trust. And work with him/her.

enjoy the day.
