Today started out as a pretty good day. I wasn't as stiff as I usually am upon awakening and the kids and hubs were all home so we took a family trip to the pool.

I kind of hoped that being in the water would take some of the stress off my ankles and knees, but now i'm really feeling the after effects of exerting myself.

Sometimes I wonder if the pain will ever end. It's only been about a month since all this started for me with the constant joint pain and stabbing pains throughout my entire body.

A person shouldn't have to live like this. I feel like if I could get a good night sleep for once I might feel better, but I toss and turn and sweat through my pillow and mattress and wake up even more tired than went I laid down.

I am calling an LLMD first thing tomorrow and crossign my fingers that they can get me in soon.

How much does the initial visit typically cost? We are just barely scraping by as it is. Me and the kids are on Medicaid and coming up with hundreds of dollars for doctors visits and treatments is going to be nearly impossible.

I'm worried that we simply won't be able to afford it and I don't know what I'm going to do then...

Hi, I'm sorry to hear that... but I understand your pain for I too have been in pain for 2.5 years. Sleep is a thing of the past, even if I can fall asleep I can't stay asleep b/c of the pain. I go to bed in pain and I wake up in worse pain.

Depending on where you are, the wait to see a good LLMD can take up to 3 months. Most will not take insurance and they are not cheap. My LLMD's rate is considered reasonable at $395 a visit. She charges by 15 minutes increment but our visits always ended up to be around 2hrs! Maybe you can find one who will accept Medicaid? Good luck!

The initial LLMD visit is expensive but I pay only 140 for subsequent visits, each about 1/2 hour.

In the meantime, ask for doxy, as much as possible and begin.

also you can buy a great one person sauna for under 150 that will really last.

Lots (2-3) epsom salt (2 cups) baths a week...cheap but really helps.

Look at Burriscano guidelines for supplements and buy what you can afford, according to your symptoms.

Join a rife group and ask someone in your area if you can borrow theirs, maybe even at a small fee.

I'm sure others will chime in with other things you can do in the meantime.

I'm sorry you are in such pain.

Take care,
