Mine are really bad. It feels like my whole neck area around my esophagus in enlarged like 5X.
Wondering what products had been the most beneficial for getting rid of this?
I've heard of red root tincture, and the Pekana products. If anyone has taken these, could you tell me your experience.

Ideally, you identify which pathogen is causing your illness and thus your swollen lymph nodes and treat that pathogen. Viruses as well as bacterial pathogens can cause swollen lymph nodes.
I see an ID doctor and he regularly checks my lymph nodes. And he is quick to pick up when mine are swollen (even from a cold) and when they are normal.

well i used the hot compresses and they seem to help a bunch.
wonder if we could just do a very mild massage ourselves?

Red root tincture helped me but what helped me the most has been levaquin for bart. Prior to levaquin even on Rifampin with azith (for months), my lymph nodes under my arms were so swollen my gm doc told me that if they did not come down with the levaquin I was going to have to get an ultrasound. They were just plain painful to move around on, sleep etc. I did use iced washcloths (damp) put in freezer and they really helped.

Carol-I have had my thyroid checked constantly. Nothing wrong. I think that it has to do with Babesia for me, maybe its inflamming the thyroid?

There have been some posts regarding gentle jumping on an exercise trampoline.
This is supposed to help with drainage.
I tried it once and it seemed to help.

jadams, have you actually been to endrocrinologists(sp) one who spcializes and does all the best testing for thyroid and parathyroid etc.
Not just a GP who does T3, T4 and TSH and looks at those and really doesn't know their i and t's when it comes to major thyroid issues. Do you also have some major sx that could be considered thyroid sx?
Have you been tested for goiter? Has your TPO bloodwork been looked at?
I'll need to check out info that babs can inflame the thyroid. I've been hypothyroid for 27 yrs before illness.

Pam-Yes, I saw an endocrinologist who ran a full panel. I've been tested for cortisol dysfunction. I had an ultrasound.
When I got sick 2 years ago (and didn't know it was lyme and co) my thyroid was enlarged. It went away and since treating for only Babesia it came back full force. It didn't come back when treating lyme for 4 months, only when treating babs. So for me its either that or Bartonella coming to the surface, since my lymph nodes are swollen, my throat is froggy and sore, ear drainage and pressure ect... Lots of upper respiratory issues also along with air hunger.
