My family is being treated for lyme disease. My son has had problems with insomnia and itchy skin for the past 5 years with out antibiotics. He has been on antibiotics for about a month and has noticed that his insomnia and itchy skin has gotten worse. My itchy skin and insomnia seem to start a few weeks after starting antibiotics for bartonella. I also suffer from night sweats at times but haven't had any recently and get terrible headaches. My doctor suspects babesia with my son but is not sure about me. My fatigue has not been over whelming like his. Could bartonella also cause itchy skin. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Yeast can cause itchy skin as can diabetes.
Get gluten and sugar out of your diets and see if that helps.

Inadequate detox for die-off can cause itchy skin too. Doc adjusted my plan and the itching has lessened a bit.
