I have an itchy rash on my chest. it started iff as a raised itchy red bump, then another little bump came up next to it, then a cluster of bumps so its now a bumpy line if that makes any sense...just wondering if this could be related to lyme or coinfections etc

Discuss this with your doctor.

May be bacterial or fungal, from immune suppression from the Lyme/co's or could also be one of the coinfections.

Scratching it may cause spreading, so be careful.

Might try some topical antibacterial ointment/cream on it to see if it helps any...

Kinda sounds like my bumps that appear on my elbows, tops of feet and now under both breasts for 6 yrs now.

Hard red itch bumps, larger than a pimple 2-3-4 in 3-4 inch area and then the rash fills in between the bumps?

I don't have a definate answer other than I suspect bartonella? But derma says it sounds like staph. Hope to find the answer soon.

Mine come and go in 2 week intervals. Two weeks ago my elbows today it is beginning under both breasts. Can feel them and they are barely above the skin this morning.

I use steroid type cream and rotate with essential oil like Tea Tree. I can contol the itch and keeping them from full fledge outbreak.

I think I will ask for antibacterial cream rx and see if that helps.

I have this too right now. I asked my llmd the other day... didn't really have an answer.

It's like if you itch them, they multiple. I've had them years ago... and now again.

I went off of all abx just to see if that was causing it... no.

Interesting that others have this right now.

Trying zytec and tagamet for a histimine thing right now... day one of it...

llmd said I need to go to Derm. if we can't get them down.

I think it's a reaction somehow to the 'buggers'.... like they come to the surface or something... That would be a weird thought and I'm sure it's not so... but it's weird like that!

IF anyone gets an answer.. please post!
