yah, I recommended to not use regular butter. A great alternative is Earth Balance, Soy Free version. Make sure its soy free because the soy we have in this country is mostly genetically modified. This will also lead to inflammation. I get mine at Henry's, Whole Foods, or Mother's market.

Ghee is clarified butter and has no milk solids. It has great detoxification benefits, Google it. Makes everything taste like lobster, LOL (drawn butter for lobster or crab is the same thing as ghee).

No, Dairy never bothered me. I didn't do any better dairy free, I just use ghee often so know about it and its benefits.
Geet, pretty much tastes like butter, a little different without the milk solids. It's spreadable, you store it at room temperature or it's like stone.
Whey protein is good for inflammation. I used it daily the whole time I was sick. Be sure it's undenatured.
