Someone gets bitten by a tick and gets the classic EM rash. As a first-line treatment, would minocycline work as well as doxycycline? If so:
1)What should be the dosage?
2)How long should the abx be taken?
Thanks!

Doxycycline is best because it addresses co-infections. You should take 300-600 mg a day. Generally, most people take 200mg twice a day. It is important to take it with food and no lie down for at least an hour after taking it or you can get acid reflux. You also have to be careful of sun sensitivity.
