Can I add meds to my current protocol for babesia? I'm currently on iv rocephin, oral's are biaxin, ceftin, amanadine, diflucan, and flagyl, or do they usually take you off some of the other meds?

I think a lot would depend on how symptomatic you are.
You could add some babs meds to your list, but if you are still herxing from the IV rocephin some docs would want to wait a while before adding more meds.
The flagyl you are on may have some effect on babesia.
I would probably start with sida acuta myself -- that herb is supposed to work on both bart and babs.
You also need to be aware that frequently treating babesia will cause bartonella to act up and it is very difficult to treat lyme and babs and bart all at the same time. Hard to find combos that will work on all 3 at once. Hubby does do best when he treats all his known infections at the same time. But it took years to get him to the point where he could tolerate multiple meds at therapeutic doses.
The majority of docs treat lyme plus one coinfection (either babs or bart -- whichever is most symptomatic) at the same time.
This is not medical advice, just my opinion based on hubby's experiences.
