For those of you who see reputable LLMDs (mine is still "In training"), what do they say about use of cephalosporins like Rocephin and Suprax? Lately I seem to be reading less and less about these types of ABX. Are they still being used regularly? I've read in some books that these drugs cause cyst conversion and should be avoided, perhaps this is why LLMDs are using them less? Any comments? Thanks.

My doc has been around the block a few times and he is starting me on IV Rocephin next week. After two weeks we are adding Tindamax.
He really likes that one he said, he chose it because I responded so well to Bicillin, not well enough to stay off IV though! I was hoping to dodge that bullet.
He did say that some Docs are staying away from cell wall drugs. He doesn't see why, just add a cyst buster. I agree with him because I gained a lot from Bicillin.

Cephalosporins make some of my symptoms much better and some much worse, in a way that is very different from other abx (not a standard herx). I am not sure they gain anything for me.
