i found an article that suggests kefir increases natural killer cell activity. Sounds good plus I could use the extra probiotics. I'm thinking of trying it Anyone else drink kefir with good results?

Kefir, as a "super yoghurt" is an excellent probiotic source. I prefer Lowfat Lifeway Organic (Strawberries and Cream, Pomegranate Acai, or Green), as its one of the few varieties that tastes almost the same as quality organic yoghurt. It has near-zero lactose and many can tolerate it just fine, but it does have nonzero amounts of fat and sugar; for those on all but the strictest diets, it should work fine. Check out www.lifeway.net for more details. They have a ton of organic kefir products, including frozen!
Making your own can work as well, but much like kombucha, it has the potential to be quite an "acquired" taste to say the least.

Recently found coconut milk kefir at Whole Foods. I like it even better than whole milk kefir.

I just had a glass. I love it. As far as milk sugar goes I read the cultures eat it up so there isn't much. I don't know how it affects those avoiding dairy though.
