Does anyone else have difficulty with blood pressure and heart rate? My BP gets so low I am too dizzy to walk and my pulse rate soars. But then other times the BP is higher and pulse rate lower.

My LLMD has me on Bystolic to regulate it, but it doesn't always work.

One thing that sometimes helps a little is Gatorade to regulate electrolytes.

I am so close to asking for IV Rocephan. I just spend all my time in bed these days, on three abx for urinary infection as well as lyme et al.
It seems that the flagyl/ketek is no longer working very well.

But then what happens if and when Rocephan stops working??? I feel that I am on an endless treadmill and my heart is asking me to slow it down! [confused]

Is your doctor treating your adrenals? I have the same problem. My doctor has me use sea salt when I get dizzy like that. My bp also drops but my heart rate goes way up.

I am not on abx yet, but with low adrenals, this symptom is common. I also take pregnenolone to help that.

Ketek can mess with the heart.. Maybe that's part of it?

Good points. I am trying to drink more gatorade today and took some salt tablets. Maybe that will help.

I don't know how to treat adrenals....my LLMD did not mention it. He said that my immune system is way down and that I need to get it back up with abx. My CD57 count is extremely low.

I tried cortisol to help with my adrenals but did not see any benefit after being on it for a few weeks. My doctor has me on pregnenolone to help the adrenals heal.

Usually a naturopath doctor or endocrinologist work with adrenal health. With Lyme, I always was told that you have to balance all the systems in the body to get the immune system to work properly. If your LLMD isn't up to addressing that, maybe you need to find another doctor who will treat you for that.

Maybe I should. I just hate the thought of YAD (yet another doctor). My LLMD is very well known and respected and he seems to think he can fix me. He has adjusted my thyroid very well...that is a first for me!
