I just received in the mail my "Patient Statement" from IGeneX which shows the tests run which were ordered by my LLMD. I don't see the LLMD until the end of this month, so I don't know what the diagnosis will be. However, on the statement there's a column that's entitled "Diagnosis" and across from each test the code is "088.81". I went to IGeneX website to see if I could find a description of their diagnosis codes but came up empty handed. Does anyone know what this code means? Any info is appreciated.

ATG, don't read anything into the diagnostic code.
A doctor has to put down a diagnostic code for all tests ordered. That tells the insurance company why he is ordering the tests. So, in your case, the doc is saying that he is ordering these tests to check you for lyme disease.
You will have to get the test results from the doctor to find out if the tests showed any evidence of lyme.
Every time you go to a doctor, he has to submit a diagnostic code for the visit. This is all a routine insurance requirement. Helps them decide whether or not they will pay for the service. No diagnositic code, no insurance payment.

Thank you both for your responses! That's what I was sort of thinking, but I wasn't sure. I guess I am anxious to find out since I am still herxing after 2 weeks on abx. I was wondering if it's a coinfection. He has me on doxy and azithromycin.

With that combo you are hitting lyme and ehrlichia. (Doxy hits both.)
Zith also hits lyme, so you are hitting the lyme with 2 different meds which is very good.
