I have mini (very tiny) looking bumps on my upper lip where the outside lip and inside tissue meet. Also my front gums are irritated and bumpy. My whole mouth feels irritated and gets red. I have raised red bumps on my tongue (had this since getting sick) and a very light coating on the tongue.
Is this thrush? The pain and bumps on the gums and lips?
I called my doctor and she wasn't convinced. Its painful and Im not sure what to do. Any advice?

This is not thrush. Thrush does not do this at all. Rather, it gives you a white coating on the tongue, or yellow patches on the tongue. You can find pictures on the net. Also gives you abdominal bloating, belching, gas, abdominal pain as the yeast is also in the entire digestive tract.
This may be canker sores. They can come when there is an immune system problem, allergic reaction, virus, etc.
Here is a quote from a nih article giving the symptoms of canker sores:
"Symptoms Canker sores usually appear on the inner surface of the cheeks and lips, tongue, soft palate, and the base of the gums.
Symptoms include:
One or more painful, red spots or bump that develops into an open ulcer
Middle of the sore is white or yellow
Usually small (under 1 cm) but occasionally larger
Sore may turn gray just before starting to heal"
Notice that your sores are in the locations of canker sores. Canker sores can be extremely painful.
A regular doctor or walk-in clinic should give you something for this. There are probably also some over the counter products you could just try on your own.
Look up pictures of canker sores and see if they match what you have.

Thank you TF. They don't look like canker sores though. These bumps are no bigger than a pin prick and there is many of them clustered on my lip. My gums look irritated like they were scraped with sandpaper.

The bumps on your lip are called Fordyce spots. They are small sebaceous (oil) glands, which are visible against the pink background of the lip, especially if you press on them.
