Has anyone seen the new CALDA dvd yet "How to put lyme behind you"?

Dr. B covers lots, and one of the things he said that surprised me was that a doctor in Newhaven CT discovered a new species of nematode in 63-75% of patients in MA with CFIDS. It's immunosuppressive, so it's not picked up with antibody tests and usual markers of parasites.

Fatigue is the main complaint. Dr. B said it also may cause fever or spotted rashes. It transmits through the intestinal tract, but mainly lives in the lungs and is treated with a combo of oral and inhaled antiparasitic drugs. I think he said 4 weeks (can't remember-my brain).

Has anyone done this treatment yet, and if so did you stay on your abx while taking the anti parasitic drugs? And, if so, which drugs?

It's bad enough the majority of doctors don't even recognize lyme in this state, and now we have this new found worm!). The dr. even found the lyme spirochete in the nematode, leaving doctors wondering which came first.

GiGi has posted this problem with lung worms for a while now. I had SEVERE asthma for 30 yrs, and finally got rid of it when I used antiparasitic herbs and salt/c. Burgdorfer found Adult Filarial Worms in ticks he dissected. Eva Sapi (could be same researcher you are discussing)has found filarial worms in a high percentage of ticks as well. Check out

www.lymephotos.com

I had EVERYTHING pictured her come out of me when I started antiparasitics and salt/c in 2005-06. GiGi had posted the Pharma antiparasitics that Dr. K. uses, but we are not allowed to post protocols here at lymenet.

Filarial Worms are a much overlooked co-infection of Lyme and really has been overlooked by even most LLMDs.

Dr. K. stated at a recent conferwence, that treating parasites FIRST and Lyme SECOND, is key in getting rid of Lyme disease.

Very frustrating indeed.

Wow, thanks for the info! It makes sense. I take it you didn't do abx while on this.
