yes. You'd have to eat like a million nuts to get enough good oils. We all have tons of inflammation, so you really do need an Omega 3. Take at least a few pills a day.

You could eat lots of tuna and salmon. Two good sources of omega 3s. But.. I find it easier just to take the pill.

Tuna, especially, and salmon are chuck full of mercury and other heavy metals and pollutants. Wild fish is a better choice, but more expensive but you should be taking fish oil supplements to reduce inflammation and it also helps thin your blood.
Heavy metal toxicity plays a big role in lyme disease. I would not be eating tons of tuna, salmon of any fish or seafood.

Abx.. I agree about the mercury. Especially with tuna consumption. I eat a ton of wild salmon.. it's very good for you.

3 grams a day. The omega 3's in nuts are 2 or 3 enzyme conversion steps away from becoming anti inflammatory prostaglandins like DHA and EPA, which are ready to go in fish oil. Wild fish is better than farmed fish, period.

I read that if you are taking serrapeptase, the proteolytic enzyme, you have to be careful with other natural remedies such as fish oil, garlic or turmeric. It can increase risk of bleedng.
Thats the only possible interaction that I found.
