I am supposed to take 875 augmentin x2 daily. It seriously stirs up what I thought was a bart/BLO dominated disease. Little, if any, lyme suspected at this point.

Every day I try x2 by the end of day I have severe derealization, burning legs, foot pain, nausea, mentally out of it, etc. Symptoms way out of proportion as opposed to all the months I HAVEN'T treated bart this past year.

Could this drug be a rare gem that hits this BLO thing, that no one is aware of?

Royally confused, I thought this was a lyme only drug.

Toppers, I recently started a similar thread.
Augmentin has got to be hitting something hard, because each time I try to take it for this ear/jaw type infection it helps the ear thing right away, but then I feel like I'm having some horrible herx or something. I just get so much sicker...the old Lyme, babs, bart or whatever symptoms rage so badly I am too sick to get dressed. Kind of the classic severe flu like symptoms get so bad, that I stop the Augmentim or can't function at all.

So I do believe that Augmentim could be that rare gem, as you say. I just wish I could stay on it and still function. I'm 55 yrs old, Augmentim never bothered me before my Lyme years, so don't think it is a drug reaction.

So I end up just sticking with Zithro and plaquenil and getting nowhere.

WEll then good to hear that from you too, Beagle. We need to push through, this is interesting.

Is it activating some receptor sites damaged by these bugs and just giving a false sense of herx, etc.? Asking rhetorically here.

I need to find out what the hell happens on Augmentin, without dying from it.

it's BATSH1T crazy~!

As chance would have it so am I. But I'm going to do zith MWF and try this augmentin thing on tues-thurs, see if it does it again. Sort of a pulse but keeping the plaquenil in there.
