My husband started back up on treatment a week ago after taking a year break due to pancreas issues. He hadn't had a stomach ache for 5 months and it started as soon as he had his first Bicillin shot a week ago. We don't know if it's the abx or the supplements or just Herx/side effect.
Is there anything anyone does inparticular for a relentless stomach ache?
He is taking: Ultimate Flora Probiotic 30 Bill 1/day Multi Enzyme NAC - 1200 mg Milk Thisle Vit D3 - 2000 Vit E - 400 Also takes Nexium 2/day
Thank you!

Have you ever tried treating for parasites? I remember this was a suggestion quite a while ago, when he was having the same complaints.

Good point gael! I notice that my stomach problems seem to have lessened a bit since starting my treating for parasites.
The other thing that previously helped with my GI issues was treating for yeast. That didn't cause pain as much as it did bloating and excess gas.
I also take digestive enzymes and HCL with my meals. Is the multi-enzyme a digestive enzyme? If so, maybe try a different brand and see if that helps? Just throwing out some ideas.

We had a stool test done for parasites and it was negative - are there false negatives with that also?
What do you do to treat for parasites??
I checked the ingredients of the multi-enzyme and digestive and the seem to be about the same but I think I will go buy digestive to be sure.

You can't rely on parasite testing.
Also, when my daughter first started treatment, the doctor told us to always take at the very least a 75 billion probiotic everyday.
Have you checked the side-effects for Nexium? Some say it's not a drug to mess with as it can cause more problems than it fixes.
