Is anyone having more luck getting health insurance to pay for Lyme treatments? Any luck getting a LLMD assigned by your Insurance company as your treating Lyme Dr and even if not in network and doesn't take insurance--anyone getting them to agree to pay Drs rate as requested since they have no Lyme specialists? I have had it done for other specialties but want to know if anyone having luck with Lyme treatment. We shouldn't have to pay for it all ourselves or the accept the measly amount that out of network rate pays.

I would not hold your breath on this. Imagine the money insurance companies would fork out if they opened that flood gate?

I submit my visits and tests and have gotten money back. They don't go on the rate you pay at the doctors office though but it is like that for other docs as well.
I've been paying out of pocket for my psychologist as well since she is out of network. I tried a few in network but they were horrible! I pay 135/visit but the insurance company reimburses me 80% of $120. Where they got that number from, I don't know.
I'd have to look over the stuff I submitted for the LLMD to get the numbers. Don't remember.
With my plan, I do have a maximum that I pay out of pocket. Although I'm not sure what it is.
