Here I go with another question... So, vomiting son on mepron will start coartem. It is compounded and should be here by the end of the week.
I read somewhere in old posts that someone stopped antibiotics 4 days before coartem and then stayed off 4 days post coartem.
I have received no instructions on how to take it other than 4 tablets twice a day with food. On the first day take in AM then take second dose 8 hours later. After that, take the rest every 12 hours.
Does anyone have advice to share? Experience?
By the way, my more mature 18 year old son is staying the course with mepron.

I didn't stop rifampin and doxy while I took it. I did 2, 7 day rounds. The second round I herxed pretty hard but it also brought me along way to seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

Thanks Cleo! I did a med interaction check and I think he is clear to stay on everything while taking coartem. I have a call into the nurse.
