I am starting with a new doctor and according to her packet of information, I am not allowed to submit her notes to the insurance company. If I do, she might dismiss me from practice.

Why do you think that is? I am having problems getting reinbursed from the other physician I saw and had to submit all notes and tests. I guess if they give me problems with this new doctor, I really won't a dime back.

Insurers have been known to submit this to Medical Boards to pull the licenses of MD's treating patients with chronic lyme

It's so sickening how the insurance co's manipulate us and the LLMD's to make more $$. Patients be d---ed! They'd be just as happy if we curled up and died. Can you tell how mad I am about this?!

Yea-- not surprising. Insurance co shouldn't need them anyways.

yea-- I dont think they even need the notes. They need the "super bill" which contains diagnostic codes and itemized receipt and whatever claims form they have.

WhitneyS is right. They just need the codes and receipts. I actually wish I hadn't submitted mine though. They denied it and now I'm documented as spirochetal which worries me for future coverage.

That is a good reason NOT to submit the notes. Shows they are looking for a reason to deny, and those notes will provide it.
