I had acupuncture a couple days ago. I'm seeing a new therapist who is certified but not Lyme Literate. She's got a great energy that I like and I am seeing her for immune support not necessarily to treat the Lyme as I'm seeing an LLMD who has me on Zith right now for Bart.

I felt good on the table and after but could feel that it was moving some things around in my gut. The next day and today I have severe distention and dull colon pain that's referring up into my left rib. It doesn't seem to want to go away and my bladder is tender and swollen as well. My urine has been cloudy on occasion which makes me think I'm detoxing.

Has anyone had anything similar like this happen after a session? I have IBD and my intestines definitely are inflamed right now. I haven't had this in the past but this is the first time I've gotten treatment while being treated for Bart. I'm wondering if it stirred things up or if it's a negative reaction.

Thanks,

Atta

I would call the office and check. I know when daughter went for acupuncture, they said to drink lots of water.

I remember our daughter felt off a bit after the session.

Hope you feel better soon.

I just tried acupuncture for the first time a few days ago. I posted about it. The needles hurt me especially in the legs. I did have cloudy urine too the next day which is now interesting since you said you had it. I wonder if it did detox me a bit.

I get acupuncture all of the time, but I do not have Lyme...but I definately know that it can "stir things up" for awhile...and that is a good thing, I think.

Things definitely feel stirred up. I'll have to call the office tomorrow if the inflammation doesn't go down.

Of course, it could be a good indicator that I'm getting the bugs riled up and angry. I just wasn't expecting this much discomfort. When I've had acupuncture in the past it's been great and aside from feeling a little tired and light headed I generally bounced back better. But that was about a year ago and like I wasn't doing an anti-biotic and anti-fungal then. My body keeps reminding me it's not the same as before.
