For almost a week I have suffered from this dry mouth and metallic taste. It all started after I got my mercury filled teeth replaced with other type of fillings. I called my dentist. He has no clue.
I really don't know what to think. It's very annoying. I'm worried that I'm getting Sjogrens. For those who were diagnosed with that did it ever go away with Lyme treatment? I am no longer taking any meds. Since I stopped taking my meds a few weeks ago, I don't think it's a side effect from them. (Took Biaxin, Flagyl and Ceftin)
I finally got an appointment with a really good LLMD this Thursday.
Please help!!!!!

If you can take chlorella, I would, to absorb some of the released metals. Also, lots of vitamin C. Read up on heavy metal detoxification, you likely have absorbed lots of metals after the removal.

I hope for your sake that it does! At least it has only been a week for you. I've had it for decades---really badly, too!! No, it hasn't gone away for me. But I'm hardly done with treatment. My situation has no bearing on your situation, however. Yours is so recent.
I'm now having to do TONS of extensive, expensive dental work as a result. It's sobering. For someone who's diet has always been impeccable, and my daily dental hygiene, it's horrifying. But again---that's not you!
Just keep a close watch on your dental situation, if it continues much. And let your LLMD know about it, as many meds make this worse.
Oh, wow, I didn't read your post carefully and see about the amalgam removal! Yeah, chlorella, etc.

Lyme gave me dry mouth and dry eye among other things.
Good lyme treatment got rid of these symptoms. Lousy lyme treatment did not.
Is your dentist a biological dentist? I thought that they were the only ones who knew how to safely remove metal fillings.
