Ok, here is my case. Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Tick bite at the end of May this year. Just noticed the bite, not the tick. Rash appeared 2 weeks later, hips started to hurt, intestinal distress. In total 3 blood tests were performed

6/29/11 - Western Blot

Lyme Ab IgG by WB interpretation - positive
p93 present
p66 pres
p58 pres
p45 pres
p41 pres
p39 absent
p30 abs
p28 abs
p23 pres
p18 pres

(Started antibiotics 7/19/2011 for 28 days)

Lyme Ab IgM by WB - positive

p41 pres
p39 pres
p23 pres

7/25/2011 - Lyme IgG/IgM Ab

6.58

8/25/2011 - Lyme IgG/IgM Ab

5.90

Has anyone had such high IgG/IgM readings? Should the second reading be lower after treatment?

Also, is it my imagination that I am getting new symptoms? Or is every little nuance going to send me into a panic that the treatment didn't work? [shake] [confused]

Very positive...!! When taking antibiotics you created die-off and that can make the test show even more antibodies.

At least you know you have a good immune system!!

and yes.. taking abx will make more symptoms come out of hiding

my best to you.. hope you are being checked for coinfections as well!
