my pain and fatigue is horrific from 3 pm until 6pm.
not that I feel good any other time
but it escalates into torture at around 3

sounds like adrenals to me.
Do you take any adrenal support supplements?

When my cortisol levels came back the bell curve showed that I crashed btw 3-6pm. Then PEAK after 9PM (thus no sleep). And very low in the morning so it was very hard for me to get my day going.
Once we saw that it made so much more sense to me. I'm on adrenal support as well as immune support and tons of supplements. I doing MUCH better where I no longer need that afternoon nap on most days. I still have a day here or there when I over do it and feel very tired... but for the most part I'm doing way better than before.
Perhaps you can get your cortisol levels checked?

well-i was tested and the 5 mg realy seemed to help me
this is the 3rd time a doc has taken me off...the change takes awhile but seems to cascade to othere things going wrong...i am not taking anything now
when i took supps it didnt help i just seem to need 5 mg of cortef and then my armour thyroid too...i wish they would stop messing with me when i'm doing good

Well what are the concerns regarding keeping you on the 5mg of Cortef? Will they let you get back on it?

the doc that took me off in my opinion is sort of LL but also does not look at whole pic
he thingks its a steroid so bad
he think s i need lots more abx but they make me worse now not better
many other llmds who know me better think i really should stop abx except when new bite and maintain with herbs
also attack parasites
some other stuff
ive been crazy busy with just living lately...its possible my primary will give it to me...or i may have to go back to a different llmd

kayak, it does sound like adrenal symptoms. You really should ask to try Cortef again.
You were taking such a low dose, I don't understand why the doctor would insist on taking you off when clearly it was helping you.

Find a doctor who will let you take the 5 mg again. I think it would get you back on course.

Off the adrenal topic, but when I was treating Babs I would get the second wind at 11 pm and I've heard it from another.
Also, now that I am treating Bart I am so tired again. I have to take naps especially around my lyme cycle. I get up around 10am and by 2 ish I need a nap badly.
Just a thought.
