still got that lower abdominal pain. man it hurts.

i broke down and took 1/4 of a vicodin pill. that's how bad it hurt. it's from one hip to the other and from navel to legs.

no diahhrea, just formed small stools. they smell like a umm, cat litter box...whew...

i'm nauseous and feel like crap. don't know whether to sit and scream from pain or just start sobbing.

i refuse to go to the er. every dang time i do, they can't find a thing, so i ain't going until my bleeding out.

ibs, my foot. could be my diverticulitis cause it is more sore on the left side but the pain is more a dull constant 4-5. it's totally ruining my life, well, that and the lyme.

I don't know if this is similar to what you have but I have swollen organs in my abdomen: swollen bladder and ovaries. They called it "Interstitial Cystitis" which basically means swollen organs for no apparent reason. I pretty much have it constant now. It used to come and go. Mine doesn't hurt as bad as yours does, though. Sex is very painful to the point where I can't remember the last time I had sex because of it (my poor significant other!). I still have hope that treating the Lyme will at least reduce it.

hmmm, could be. at first i thought it was a vaginal infection cause i hurt, like, internally, and itches like crazy. then i thought it was bladder. then it sort of just spread.

i'm still having "external" burning so i bought some vagasil.

i was thinking of going to the obgyn but hey what can he do anyway?

is there a cure for this cystitis?

I first thought infection, then thought maybe the dryness, but nothing helped. I had an ultrasound done and they confirmed the swelling, but not a cause, so just said IC. I don't have itching, though, just pain. So maybe is a vaginal infection for you?

Lymetoo mentioned that her abdominal pain was greatly reduced after treating Lyme, so I have hope.

Unless they changed the definition... IC means severe pain in the bladder or pelvic floor. The bladder is the main focus and causative factor of other pain in the abdomen.

It often includes an ulcerated bladder.

IC is diagnosed by a bladder distention which is done under anesthesia.

Randi.. I would imagine it is your diverticulitis. Call your GI dr!
