I'm with Hambone--I had one for 7 months, and I did a happy dance when I finally took a temp one day and it was below 98.6. Mine went down with treatment. And when I herx, it does creep up slightly.
I'm treating for Lyme and Babs, so I am not sure which it would be. But it is usually tied to inflammation for me. When my fever is up, my "Lyme carpal tunnel" returns, my ribs hurt again, and I can't eat.
Have you switched up your meds recently or anything that may be bringing out some symptoms?

Tricia, Hope you are right. cuz I've had a low grade fever for almost 3 wks now and feel like unrelenting severe flu. Took Coumanda and it just made me sicker.
I also would like to know the cycle of babs and bart, if anyone knows.

When I treat it goes away mostly with herbs but so far it keeps coming back.
I think mine is realated to EBV. But I'm back on Minocycline to see if it goes away.
Have you tested viruses by chance?
Rera2528, What did you treat with to get rid of the fever?

Low grade fever, as far as I know, helps the pathogens, but does not help the body (enzymes can't work properly according to dr. K).
In Chinese medicine, most people are sick from cold diseases. Not many diseases are caused by heat. Cold feet, hands, skin, and even cold organs, as they call it.
Cold condition is not good but pathogens thrive in cold. Not only borrelia. As enzymes can't work well, your whole body can't function well (digestion, excretion, for example).
Keep as warm as possible.
I suffered from low grade fever (or CONSTANT low grade temperature) my WHOLE lyme journey. Some times, shivering even in hot summer days, sometimes just feeling cold the whole day.
If my memory is good, it is one of the symptoms of the patients with KPU.
In winter, most people with infections feel worse because of lack of sun but also, because of cold itself.
