Hi All-

I have been struggaling with anxiety for awhile. And I have been on zithromax for awhile for lyme. I think since treatment in the begining of may. I have been searching to answers for this horribble anxiety.

Well, I guess zithromax has a corrleation to anxiety. If you go to askapatient.com many of those people are now suffereing from anxiety. They believe it changes a gene in the chemical make up of the brain.

Any thoughts?

This is not the experience our daughter has had. Her anxiety went off the charts with Lyme and Babesia. We attributed this to the diseases and probably Lyme with its impact on the thyroid gland.

She has been on Zith for 15 months and really no out of the normal anxiety (she may have some but it is bascially zero compared to 15 months ago).

I wouldn't believe askpatient.com

Could it be that these people really have stealth Bartonella or lyme infections which cause their anxiety? And then the Zith brings it out in a herx.

This seems much more plausible.

Zith just slays me with depression and anxiety. I've been off it almost 2 months and I'm still feeling the effects. I was on it for 2 months.
