Hi <<<<< Lyme Family >>>>>,

Sometime the need to sleep gets overwhelming, realizing that both TxC' and I have been under a lot of stresses.

SO many things have happened, and we barely get the grief of one loss into some sort of perspective before some other death or loss occurs.

IS the overwhelming tiredness, just our bodies response to it all ??

Having Lyme and Co's, which we are fairly certain,TxC' has like I do, can make one weary as it is...

but even a good cup of coffee seems to drift us right off to sleep [ I find it helps me breathe better ].

TxC' is getting some restorative sleep w/ the C-PAP machine...but both of us drift off, very easily.

So I am wondering is it just the combo' of everything at once?

[ Course I don't necessarily stay asleep very long, especially w/ the wildfires in area].

ANy tho'ts ? Thanks for any replies!

Check out information on adrenal fatigue. There's a lot out there. Adrenals are affected by stress, including stress of loss/death.

I'm sorry you're having such a rough time.

<<<<< sixgoofykids >>>>>,

Thanks, and thanks for the commiseration, I'm glad you mentioned the adrenal fatigue. In '06 my adrenal hormones were way way low...

That makes sense... I feel really drug out. And when we both took a brief journey to the grocery store, we made it home, and both of us were ready for a nap.

I'll check the adrenal info' and see if I can find something way inexpensive to supplement with...it might help.

<<<<< sixgoofykids >>>>>,

Thanks for the link, it makes sense , Both TxC' and I have diabetes now, but we can easily go into hypoglycemic issues too.

I get diarrhea all to often, and keep Imodium around just in case.[Tho' one has to be really careful w/ that as well].

Have to see what supplements I can afford to get, that may help.

Again I appreciate the link,it explains a lot!

I'll be researching more in the next few days...

I hope it helps. [Smile]

There are also a lot of lifestyle things you can do that have no cost. Also specific diet ideas. Healing the adrenals, unfortunately, isn't as easy as taking a specific supplement, though there are supps that can help.

<<<<< sixgoofykids >>>>>,

I mentioned supplements because in the short time I was able to get some treatment,['06]I was put on compounded 'dhea' and 'red rice yeast'[not a normal yeast].

It did help...but I cannot afford it right now.

I am gluten free already [ have gotten a hold of gluten stuff a couple times w/o realizing it].

I don't like being nauseated and having ongoing diarrhea so I am very careful now.And Oats will send me to the hospital.

Thank you again, for the info!!! [Smile]

Dear Silverwolf,

Grief can effect one in so many ways and everyone grieves differently. My condolences for your losses.

When my mother died I was exhausted, mostly physically (with hindsight, I think it was what finally triggered my body and the Lyme into crisis).

I didn't expect my body to react so strongly from my mother's death. She had been in hospice for almost a year and her death was expected; therefore, I though I was prepared.

Apparently my body wasn't. She always said the worse thing about her dying would be that her children would have to go through grief (she had a lot of losses in her lifetime). In retrospect; she was right.

Sometimes you just have to allow the loss/es to be mourned; it's difficult. Acknowledge your body's response. Just my personal experience. Warm regards, p.

<<<<< piper and sixgoofykids >>>>>,

The Lyme and Co' symptoms have worsened, and then hit a standstill, not really getting better, a few newer symptoms.

TxC' has seemed to have everything come crashing in on him at once. May 2010 to June 2011 : Both knees replaced, the Aneurysm and surgery [rt.common Iliac]...

and heart arrythmia [w/ procedure to check rt. side of heart].

His hands are causing him no end of grief and tests last Friday revealed carpal tunnel in both,as well as neuropathy issues.

Perhaps it is our bodies way of saying...rest,don't do anything you don't absolutely have too... process the losses.

Life goes on tho' and sometimes we must get things finished up... and taken care of.

I don't think we are ever truly ready for loved ones to pass, even when we know it is going to come.

Not sure I know how to process so many folks ,both family and close friends dying in one decade and a year [at least 30 folk, age range 30's to 80].

And then there is loss of health, jobs, home, and church to top it off.

I'm figuring it has had a profound effect on our health.
