I have my bottle in hand. Will discontinue the rifampin starting tomorrow. Do you think its okay or should I wait til its out of my system? I have off the next few days so it is a perfect opportunity. I took Co Q 10 this morning as well. I will discontinue that starting tomorrow.

Do you think it is okay to do 1/4 tsp tonight? I wanna get this started !! Also what should I eat ? I dont eat fatty foods !!

You may want to call a pharmacist to see how long Rifampin stays in the system after taking it.

Some healthy fat choices are avocados, nuts, and olive oil (food cooked in it or used as dressing).

Good luck!

I am on Mepron & my doctor told me to take it with a couple of TBLS of peanut butter or 2 raw eggs.

I don't know anything about Rifampin. Sorry.

Tahini has a lot of fat - you can make hummus with a lot of tahini and it will be creamy and fatty. Dip with celery, cucumber, carrots.
Best to use a food procesor and make a big batch.

Almonds, cashews are good.

I take a TBS of cod liver oil everyday - you can take that w the Mepron. If you get the Carlson's lemon flavor kind it just tastes like olive oil with a hint of lemon- no fishy taste at all. Must refrigerate bottle after opening.

I'm not sure how long Rifampin is in your system. I would call the pharmacy too.

I'd recommend a good olive oil, fish oil (if you take it), then maybe some nuts or something as a snack (if you need even more fats).

It says somewhere on the instructions that it should be taken with some fats (absorbs better).

I take a tsp of flax oil with mine, or if I happen to eat something fatty that evening (like avocados), I just take it straight.

I use peanut butter because it's easy and I have it around all the time. I can take it to work too.
