Underwent 6 weeks of IV rocephin for Lyme at beggining of year, followed by oral antibiotics.

Prior to treatment, was getting botox to lessen migraines.

For over two weeks I've had rigid shoulderzn neck, head muscles hard as a rock and painful that respond to nothing.

Doctor said it is botox toxicity. Said not to get Botox, which is terrible because Botox lessens migraines.

Now having trouble swallowing, arms getting rigid, severe fatigue even with Nuvigil.

Have had 4 rounds of injections with no problems.

Due for next round next week.

Anyone had this?

Also having stabbing upper back pain, chest wall pain worsening with deep breaths. Likely Coschondritis (sorry for wrong spelling). No cough. No fever. Normlly have low body temp. Trouble using hands. Too fatigued to leave my bed. Burning muscles and skin. Neck stiff with trouble swallowing and squeezing feeling. Headache. Painful eyes. Numbness in hands. Had normal ekg yesterday at dr. Had bloodwork there (Dr Lerner).

Called nuerologist and pcp today with info. No call back from them.

a Botox Toxicity question. You said you "Have had 4 rounds of injections with no problems"

How often did you get theM/

I had first for spasms in legs & loved it. Wanted more but my neuro says if get too soon immune system reactes.

He said one needs to wait 3 months between treatments.

BTW I told him I've now become a "botox junkie" (give me more). I love the way it relaxed the extreme spasms without the drugged tiredness of muscle relaxers.

my next treatment is in October. He only did lower dose first time to guage my body's reaction.

Were your treatments too close together within the 3 month spans?

Have been getting Botox every 90 days. This last time was my fourth session. Went to neurologist today and he said the Botox i got was worn off ny now, almost 90 days. Said it wasn't toxicity. I'm thinking maybe the Nuvigil, although i have been on it a month.

Called LLMD and left message. office didn;t call me back. Thanks!
