My symptoms are the feeling of tiny air bubbles traveling down and out of my urethra. Especially after peeing. I have no pain just that annoying sensation.
I finally got the courage to see urologist and had my urethra and bladder looked at with scope and also an MRI of bladder. Everything cane back normal.
She’s sending me for 2nd opinion. I’m really wondering if this could be a Lyme or co-infection thing.
She doesn’t think it’s bacterial because they tested my urine. Something is causing gas to form but don’t know what else it could be? Any thoughts appreciated.

This has happened to me. Diagnosised with Interstital Cystitis Bladder (I.C.bladder),
Lots of research on how the Lyme spirokete LOVES the bladder.
Most urologists are oblivious to Tick Borne Infections. They simply are not trained in symptoms, diagnosises and treatment. I'm not saying this is what you have, only to consider different angles in which to approach.
Lyme cystitis can cause air bubbles because the Lyme spirokete directly invades the bladder. Routine urine analysis frequently show no abnormal bacteria growth in urine culture.
An ultrasound may show wide-spread inflammation. MRI's may show nothing.
It can also be caused by a fistula (opening in the bowels) usually caused by diverticulitis. This can be detected by a C scan or MRI.
Diagnosis requires the patient's urinary bladder tissues to be examined and tested. Diagnosis also requires DNA sequencing testing of the urine. You will need a LLMD or a Urologist to order through specialty labs. You will find it if you know what to look for.

Thank you so much for your knowledge and insight! I’ve had a really hard time finding any answers. Or even finding anyone that has experienced this.
My urologist is stumped after seeing my MRI came back normal. I need to get back to my LLMD, it’s been awhile.

Your welcome.
My IC Bladder is currently in remission due to starting back up on Lyme, Bart and Babs treatment. If I go off my meds, it resurfaces. Life is good right now. I hope the same for you.
