My 4 year old has Lyme - on amox and azith - I think week 7 now. I swear the Lyme rash on her face (not red - just granular) is actually getting bigger. Its growing longer in a straight line right to the bite... Any thougts? Or just ideas on how to get rid of it? Its on her face - down from the lower lip descending in a line to her neck.. Thanks!!!

Aww, poor thing! Does the rash itch? I have been on amox for about 7 weeks too and just developed an itchy rash. I had to stop meds unfortunately since an itchy rash means a possibly allergy to the antibiotic. Going in to see my regular doctor. My LLMD appt is next week.
I never had the traditional bulls eye rash. Any info on amox rashes, please share. Are there other typical Lyme rashes that can start weeks after the bite?

gado.. there should be pics of rashes on the link above. I've heard of Lyme rashes appearing during treatment.

It concerns me that the rash is growing with a streak extending from her lip down to her neck. Please take her back to the doctor to rule out cellulitis.
I know I can't see the rash so I may be over reacting but I'd rather be careful than to ignore something that may be need treated asap.

THANK YOU ALL! Cellulitis never entered my mind, but I should rule that out. You all are wonderful for taking the time to offer an opinion.
