I can't take Mepron and my LLMD has advised me to stop artemisia annua (at least temporarily) because of ear problems. Many people here seem to do well on cryptolepsis for babesia. What about the dose?

Buhner recommends a starting dose of one tsp 3x/day for 10-14 days. That computes to a starting dose of one Tbsp per day. A 4 ounce bottle from Woodland Essence at $40 a bottle would last 4 days. So the first 10-14 days would cost $10/day, or $100-$140. After the first 10-14 days the dose can be decreased to 30 drops 3x/day.

I've already tried cryptolepsis at 30 drops 3x/day for a month, without results. So it seems if it's going to help, I'll have to use the larger dose. Before I spend this much I would like to hear from those who have successfully used cryptolepsis for babesia.

I really need something to help, because I've been incapacitated for 8 months. It took over 6 months just to get a diagnosis. Then I had to stop Mepron after only 2 weeks, and now I've had to stop artemisia annua. Help!

Peggy

I did it at 1/2 to 1 tsp 3x a day. It was obvious to me that it was hitting something right away. Not from a herx but from just having symptoms go away.

If you get up to the recommended dose and you get no results then you may have something else going on. That said, I don't know what infection this treated for me.

I know I have babesia--it was confirmed by two Igenex tests. How long did you take it at that dose?

Malerone worked pretty well for me. It's an easier RX than Mepron, I think.

If you call Woodlands they sell 8 oz. bottles for a better price. They told me I would need 16oz. at 1 teaspoon 3 times a day for a 30 day dose. . Both my daughter and I are starting this. Have you tried Byron White A babs. It helped my daughter.
blinkie, how much water did you mix with the cryptolepsis? Do you know if it matters how much you mix with it?

I tried criptolpsis for 3 weeks for babs. It definitely reduced drenching sweats for me, but you go through it fast at 1 tsp 3x a day. I stopped because of that reason only.
