I've been off antibiotics for three months, a trial to see whether the lyme is gone or not. It is not gone and my neuro symptoms are increasing. I can't get in to see my LLMD for another month as he has just returned from vacation and has a backlog.
Is it important that I act quickly to get more antibiotics or does another month really matter - assuming I can stand the symptoms that long?
Any opinions about which antibiotics I would be put on - maybe I can get a local doc to prescribe although they know nothing about lyme.

What were you on before you stopped meds?
Do you have any meds left from lyme treatment? If so, what do you have?
What meds did the doc previously use to treat your lyme disease? And, were you treated for coinfections at all?
If you can stand the symptoms, then don't worry. But, if they are bad, then I would want to be back on meds quickly.
That's why the questions above.
If you want an on-line source for meds with no prescription needed, here is a thread that talks about that:

The last antibiotics I was on were azrithromycin and rifampin. The antibiotics that I have left are tinidazole, rifampin, omnicef and clarithromycin.

I would call their office, maybe they can suggest you take some meds in the interim .... the Omnicef and Clarithromycin together might help keep it at bay ... you might call and ask.

I was treated for erlichia, bartonella and babesia. I'm hoping they would have showed up long before now if they were still around.
Other meds I have had are mepron, doxycycline, alinia, welchol, fluconazole and a lot of herbs and supplements. I have a lyme herbal formula that is helping keep the symptoms down but it is losing effectiveness.
