Ok so I really want to start using a far infared sauna. I saw online I can buy portable ones for fairly cheap.

This is the one I want to buy. Please tell me your insight and if you think it seems like a good sauna. I dont know too much about this stuff. But I like that its portable and I like thats its very reasonably priced!

They are all over ebay... Personally, I had this same one and although it did heat up well inside, I found it very uncomfortable to sit in. Also, I don't like that your head has to stick out. For me, I like to get my body temp up. With the head out, the body will regulate so that you do sweat, but the head out will keep your body temp from going up. Can't remember the Scientific term for this phenomenon.

I bought one very similar to this, different brand. I find it to be a very good value. Nope, not perfect, plasticky materials for the super-duper-chemical sensitive probably not good, and, no, your head isn't in there. But still, have found it very helpful.

One thing you might check, there are different sizes out there. Depending on how big you are, you might want to compare the size of this one to other options. They can feel a little cramped, so a few inches here and there might be worth a few extra bucks. Either way, keep in mind, it won't be luxury, rather a place to spend a few minutes here and there to help your health.

I have heard it being brought up on here that your head should not be enclosed. Something about toxicity due to die off..

Personally I don't like the idea of sitting inside heated vinyl. Seems counter productive.

For myself I take hot espom baths every night which really make a difference. Then I buy packages of FIR sauna sessions at a spa and go every week or so as needed.

I got one just like that, have only used it once. right now I don't have time to incorporate it into my regimen but will shortly.

I thought it would make me feel exhausted, but actually I felt quite good the remainder of the day.

I prefer my head outside of the heat, personal preference I guess.

Good luck.
